Hello Paul,

There are two things you should consider in your case:

By default the text alignment of the button tools is set to Center and no to Left. If you need the text to align to left go ahead and set it to left like this:
```
buttonTool2.InstanceProps.AppearancesSmall.Appearance.TextHAlignAsString = "Left";
```
Keep in mind also, that by default the button tools resize themselves according to the size of the button’s text. This is why it may look like they are left aligned, but they are not;
Even if you set the text align to left you will still have a little disalignment. This is because of the way .NET draws and antialiasing the text and also because of the combination of starting letter of the text in your buttons’ texts. Attached is a small sample showing how MS Buttons looks like if you set the same texts and set AutoSize to true (this is what UltraToolbarsManager does with its buttons). Also, with the MS Buttons, if you set TextAlign to MiddleLeft and zoom enough you will see that, because of the antialiasing the A is one pixel to the left of C and R.

To summarize – because of the rare combination of buttons starting with A, C and R and because of the antialiasing the buttons’ texts looks a little disaligned even if you set alignment to left.

One possible solution is to add images to your buttons if this is ok with your application’s UI.

Attached is the sample I have tested this with as well as screen shots of the tools at pixel level showing where the issue comes from – the way .NET draws these three letters and the antialiasing involved.
