Hello,
we are using NetAdvantage v10.3 for .Net 4.0 and discovered, that the XamRibbonWindow shows some unexpected effects on both operating systems. Now, of course, we wonder whether these things are bugs or just misunderstandings on our side.
The first is resizing, when the window is not maximized: under Windows7 there is no resizing cursor or functionality on the top border of the window. Under XP everything is fine.
The second is including a StatusBar in the RibbonWindowContentHost.StatusBar area. Under XP, there is a space of 4 pixels between content and statusbar although no margins or paddings or anything are set.
Seems to be the window's border for which the space is reserved. The StatusBar is rendered completely at the bottom without any standard window border around it, even if the window is not maximized. Under Windows7, this window state contains the standard border. Confusingly, resizing is possible at the lower border for both operating systems.
Any ideas how to fix that?
Regards, Ruth
Hello Ruth,
I reviewed your questions and tested the described scenarios.
Regarding the StatusBar issue I created a case CAS-67170-8C50J7 for you and link it with the Developer issue ID 76818, so that you can get automatically updated, when a Service Release containing the fix is available for download. You can get the new version from our website’s “My IG”, “My Keys & Downloads” tags: https://www.infragistics.com/Membership/Default.aspx?panel=Downloads#Downloads
You can also monitor the support ticket’s progress through the “My Support Activity” tag: https://www.infragistics.com/Membership/MySupport.aspx .
For the resizing functionality this is known issue and it is fixed in the latest versions of 10.3, so could you please check if you are using the latest build and upgrade to it.
If you have any additional questions on the matter please let me know.
The service release containing the resolution for your issue is out, you can download it from: https://www.infragistics.com/Membership/Default.aspx?panel=Downloads#Downloads
I'd be glad to receive a feedback on the outcome.
thank you very much, the issue has been resolved with that service release. Looks pretty good now for both operating systems.
