I've got a problem with the Chart control's sizing behaviour when using 3D charts.
My form is provided dynamic data; and as the range of values to be shown reduces, I'm finding that the 3D chart views start to disappear off the form (I've tried Column, Line and Area 3D views and they all exhibit the same problem).
I've attached some screen shots by way of illustration.
You can see that when displaying 4 periods (or more), the chart looks fine. But as I reduce the range of values shown to 3 periods and then 2 periods, the chart's scaling doesn't seem to respond very well and you end up with a chart that's scaled outside the bounds of the form.
I've done some searching on these forums and tried changing the chart's size and bounds but this appears to have no effect. Any ideas what's going wrong ?
P.S. I forgot to mention that other (non-3D) chart styles work perfectly well and scale within acceptable bounds.
Hello ge1971,
Thanks for attached screenshot, but the mentioned behavior is by design, because we try to represent as much as possible data in the available space. When the user scaling the chart (zoom in / out) we try to give illusion that you take a look inside of the chart at the specific data, that`s why we truncate part of the chart, rotate the lables and so on. I discuss similar scenario at http://forums.infragistics.com/forums/t/69396.aspx
If you want to prevent this behavior maybe one possible approach could be to set limits of scaling property through your code.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hello,
Have you been able to resolve your issue ? If you still have any concerns or questions I will be glad to help. If you need any additional assistance don’t hesitate to ask.
Hi Georgi,
I'm not been able to look into this matter any further at the moment as I'm needed on another project; but I'll take a look at the details you posted and maybe try altering the chart scaling properties as suggested when I get a chance.
Thanks for the information.
Kind regards, Gareth
