On the appearance properties of the controls now, you can only select by color name. RGB selections not allowed and even the color names don't show what the colors are. This is not good. Is there a way to revert back to the more robust color selections of old, without uninstalling the latest revision?
I'm not sure what you're talking about; the UITypeEditor for properties of type System.Drawing.Color has not changed with the last release (or ever, for that matter).
The standard .NET UITypeEditor for color properties provides support for specifying explicit RGB values by right-clicking on an empty box on the 'Custom' tab, then using the applet that appears to set the RGB values. It has always worked this way.
I'll just pick one. I'll go to an ultraTextEditor, go to Properties -> Appearance -> BackColor. I get a single drop down box with color names only. That's it. Strange behavior.
I closed Visual Studio, rebooted, and the normal color selection screen came back. Very odd. That seems to have fixed the problem. Can't imagine what happened, but it worked, so I'm happy that the problem is solved. Thanks
