Using vb.net 2008 and Infragistics 9.2. Using a ultramonthviewsingle and have an appointment that is a single day (contained in one box), when selecting it it does not show the small white boxes for dragging to multiple days. If I have a multiple day event the dragging selectors show. Is this a setting I am missing?

I`m not sure what exacly is your scenario, but if you have an appontment which property "All Day Event" is set to "true" you have possibility to extend this appoinment to multiple days, otherwise it is not possible. Only the whole day event has possibility to be extend.Could you please take a look at the attached sample and write me if this is not your scenario.
