I've got a composite chart and would like to set a different ColorModel for each layer, can anyone tell me how this is done?

sorry, it's not possible using the ColorModel. however, if you add PaintElements to the PEs collection of each series, you can set a distinct palette for each series.
for even more control over the chart coloring, you can handle the FillSceneGraph or ChartDrawItem events and change the PE for any primitive (Box/Ellipse/Polygon/etc) on the chart.
Yeah I figured this was the case.
I've been using the series PEs like you suggest and it achieves the same goal.
