Hello,
I'm rather new to using this control, and to Infragistics for the most part.
I've got an UltraDataChart graphing patient Hemoglobin results over time.
1. I'd like to visualize a range of where these results are considered good...say results that fall between 10 and 13.
2. I'd also like to color code the markers of results based on where the result falls. Red for above range, green within range and yellow below range.
Hoping this is doable and someone can provide a little guidance.
Sincerely appreciate the help...
Hello Randy,
I am attaching a sample project that demonstrates a PointSeries in the UltraDataChart that colors its markers based on the value of the underlying data item to the marker. This is done using the AssigningCategoryMarkerStyle event for the PointSeries.
For more information on the UltraDataChart, check out our documentation, here: https://www.infragistics.com/help/winforms/datachart-datachart.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns on this matter.

You are the man Andrew! Thanks for that help.
My challenge is translating your examples and the many I find on these forums into the language/constructs we use...which is Progress Openedge with a .NET flavoring. Instead of Lists, we use something called a Temp-Table. For much of my work with Infragistics, I need to dump my Temp-Table objects and their data to xml and read back into System.Data.DataSets and Tables. With the latter, we then have something to feed your graph objects, etc. datasource properties. Nonetheless, the following event coding worked.
Which produces
Now...
Is it possible to add a "reference line" to represent the maximum acceptable value (13) and add another reference line to represent the minimum acceptable value (10)? Hope that makes sense...as this was part of my original question, but learning as I go.
Thanks once again for the time help Andrew!

I am glad you were able to get the UltraDataChart working in the way that you want it to.
Regarding the “reference line,” I am under the impression that you are looking for a horizontal line at certain points to represent this. If this is the case, I would recommend the ValueOverlay series type, as it was created for this function. You can read about usage of the ValueOverlay here: https://www.infragistics.com/help/winforms/datachart-series-value-overlay.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns on this matter.
that's exactly what I was after. Thank you once again Andrew! Seems to be working as expected.
