Dear,
I searched for an equivalent of my problem but I haven't found one yet.
The problem here is that the line graph completely 'ignores' the scaling set on the left side.
The scatter chart follows the values on the left but the line charts increases (visually) in value.
To give an example (the 1 is for the Scatter, the 2 is for the Line):
- The first value they both start on X 0 Y 0
- The second value they are on 1) X 1 Y 120 2) X 1 Y 150
- The sixth value they are on 1) X 6 Y 240 2) X 6 Y 300
So there is a difference in Y coordinates that I can't figger out.
Is there a setting that I'm forgetting that handles this difference? (Or a Y / Y2 mismatch?)
Hope hearing from you soon!
Hi Glenn,
Thank you for posting in our forums!
When you mention scaling, are you referring to the series' following the axis values? Your screenshot does not seem to match up with the example you gave as no values are higher than 120 in the screenshot.
Are you using the same yAxis for both series? Please provide the code you are using to create and setup the UltraChart.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi Michael,
When I say 120 i meant the Y-coordinate since they both would have the same actual value.
So the value would be 63.5 but the Y coordinate for the scatter point would be 120 and for the line point 150.
But I have resolved this issue.
In the code there was made use of the TickmarkInterval for the Y axis (where the Scatter chart was mapped) but this value was not known for the Y2 axis. So I'm guessing that this value handles the 'Y-Coordinate' interval between values?
Kind regards!
I am glad you were able to resolve the issue and thanks for sharing it.
And yes, the TickmarkInterval property specifies how often to place tick marks and labels along a chart axis as numeric data value when AxisTickStyle is set to DataValue.
If you have any further questions or concerns with this, please let me know and I will be glad to help.
