Hi All,
One more problem with Webdatagrid. I am not sure if i am missing any setting here. The webdatagrid is enabled all the edit, delete and Addnewrow behaviors. Sqldatasource is the datasource ID. The datasource is having around 2000 recors. The problem is weired. I get a javascript error "The script is causing the IE to run slowly..." everytime i try to do something with the grid. I cant delete, edit or add ... The same code works fine in Firefox. Is this a bug ?
Hi,
I am guessing that you are using IE8. If I am right, IE8 is very slow with Table html elements which is what WebDataGrid uses, when you edit, add or delete, the table size changes and the table gets resized by the browser, which is very, very slow with IE8, especially if your grid has many records. What I would suggest doing is turning on either the Paging or VirtualScrolling behavior, that will cut down the number of rows that are present on the client at the same time and make IE8 usable.
Thanks,Olga
Thanks for the reply. I am using IE6 and i do have the virtualscrolling turned on. The same problem shows up even when i try to scroll down the grid. Paging is not helping either
Looks like i have found the culprit..... Editorprovider is the guy. Whenever i have editor provider in my webdatagrid it seem to destroy all the function. Any infragistic guys to address this issue ?
