Hi, I have received an unhandled exception error a couple of times when playing back testscripts. It looks like it could be an error coming from the application itself, but in the error text there is numerous references to testadvantage. so I am a little confused as to where the error is coming from....I am hoping one of you might have seen this before and might be able to offer some ideas as to why this is happening?
the error occurs when opening a dialog from a menu.
fyi we are running the trial version of testsadvantage ats the moment so I am not sure if this might be the issue as there is a reference to a license in the error text.
thanks, james
below is the full error text....
Hi James,
While TestAdvantage is mentioned, it is in the loaded assemblies, which if you are replaying a script using TestAdvantage they would be loaded, but they are not listed in the stack trace at all, which makes me believe that they are not involved. The exception is listed in drawing elements, which almost makes me think that this is a threading issue. My thought is a control on the UI thread is either directly or indirectly being modified on a background thread. This can happen if the datasource that a control is bound to is modified on a background thread without having the changes marshaled back to the UI thread in which it lies.
thanks for your quick reply...this helps very much!
James
