I'm trying to add a border around a XamColorPicker. No matter what I change the BorderBrush and BorderThickness to, it doesn't work. This appears to be a bug.
Hello,
Currently the BorderBrush and BorderThicness are set in the Style for the XamColorPicker:
<Style TargetType="igCP:XamColorPicker">
<Setter Property="Padding" Value="4,2"/>
<Setter Property="MinHeight" Value="22"/>
<Setter Property="BorderThickness" Value="1"/>
<Setter Property="Background" Value="{StaticResource PopupBackgroundBrush}"/>
<Setter Property="BorderBrush" Value="{StaticResource SilverlightDarkBrush}"/>
….
To set the BorderThickness you would need to include this style (available in C:\Program Files (x86)\Infragistics\NetAdvantage 2013.2\Silverlight\DefaultStyles\XamColorPicker\ generic.xaml) and change the hardcoded value. In order to change the Background you could add your own Brush with the Key SilverlightDarkBrush.
If you would like to see this template changed to more easily support these types of configurations, I suggest adding this to our product ideas page http://ideas.infragistics.com. At this site, you will have direct contact with our product management team regarding this functionality and the future of the product.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Valerie

Do you have any other questions on this matter?
No, I don't have any other questions. I just wanted to know why the XamColorPicker control has BorderBrush and BorderThickness properties that don't do anything. It seems like they should be removed if they aren't usable.
Thank you for your feedback, these values exist since they are inherited from System.Windows.Controls.Control.
We appreciate that you took the time to convey your comments and I assure you that we consider our customer community comments very important to steering improvement at Infragistics. I have forwarded your comments to product management for review and consideration.
