I am having the same problem. I want to clear down the selections on my webcombos.

I want to use client side code to do this and the code I am using at the moment (which isn't working) is as follows:

var travelZoneCombo = igcmbo_getComboById("cmbTravelZone");

var jobCombo = igcmbo_getComboById("cmbJob"); var jobKilometres = jobCombo.getGrid().Rows.getRow(jobCombo.getSelectedIndex()).getCellFromKey("Kilometres").getValue();

 

if (jobKilometres == 0)

{

travelZoneCombo.setSelectedIndex(-1);

travelZoneCombo.Element.disabled = false;

}

Is it possible to clear down combo selections? If so, how do I do it?

1)  If you set

webCombo.setDataValue(""); and
webCombo.setDisplayValue("");

 is not enough ?

2) Do you have  at the top of the dataset displayed in the webCombo  an "empty string", meaning "All" or "None" or "Not selected" ?

You can select that "empty string" with method 1) or with webCombo.setSelectedIndex(0);

Hi all I had the same problem, and the only solution I found is use the javascript. The reason of this "limitation" is enclosed in the component HTML rendering method. IMHO there's no other way than use JS. If someone will find a code-behind solution let us know. Cheers, Gianluca
