How can i change the template for a label in igPieChart?

Hello,

I cannot find any example of how to use the properties legendItemTemplate and legendItemBadgeTemplate, and frankly I'm not even sure that's the correct way to do what I want.

I want to add a line break to a legend and add a bold text on one of the lines.

Can you please point me to the documentation explaining how to do that or provide me with an example of how to do it?

Thank you for contacting Infragistics Community!

I believe you will find the attached sample I have prepared for you very helpful. As you can observe I’m using the legendItemTemplate option of the igPieChart. Please note that the render function would be called for each record of the igPieChart data. Using the data.legendLabel() method you can check for which record is called the function and modify its context (UI). As you can observe I have bolded the “Management” label and I have appended a line break above it.

If this sample is not an accurate demonstration of what you are trying to achieve please feel free to modify it and send it back to me for further investigation.

Hello Martin,

First of all, thank you for the kind reply. My problem is with changing the labels generated around the pie chart, not the legend. Does it work the same way? I did not manage to find a quick tweak to achieve that.

After further investigation I determined that providing label templates for the igPieChart is currently not provided out of the box. What I can suggest is submitting this as a new product idea for future versions at http://ideas.infragistics.com.

Steps to create your idea:

Log into the Infragistics Product Ideas site at http://ideas.infragistics.com (creating a new login if needed).

Navigate to the product / platform channel of your choice (e.g. WPF, Windows Forms, ASP.NET, HTML5 / Ignite UI, iOS / NucliOS, etc.)

Add your product idea and be sure to be specific and provide as much detail as possible. Explain the context in which a feature would be used, why it is needed, why it can’t be accomplished today, and who would benefit from it. You can even add screenshots to build a stronger case. Remember that for your suggestion to be successful, you need other members of the community to vote for it. Be convincing!

The benefits of submitting the product idea yourself include:
