i followed your instructions for implementing filter cell templates (https://www.infragistics.com/products/ignite-ui-angular/angular/components/grid/filtering.html)
My target ist to use an editable date picker for a date column to filter values.The click on the date input box does not switch the editor in edit mode with an input mask.

Thank you for posting in our community.
You have to use templated dropdown date picker and the igxMask directive in order to achieve your requirement.
I have created a sample in StackBlitz for your reference. Please test it on your side and let me know if that solve your issue.
