I've just upgraded to NetAdvantage for Windows Forms 2008 Vol 1, and had assumed from reading the official site that the Windows Forms controls were available for the 3.5 framework.
However when viewing the download options on the site, it looks like only the ASP.NET controls have been compiled against 3.5 so far, and WinForms controls are only available for 2.0. Even the Bundle download contains a 3.5 ASP.NET install and a 2.0 WinForms install.
Is there some reason that the WinForms controls didn't get released at the same time, and is there an ETA for their 3.5 release?
NetAdvantage for Windows Forms 2008 vol. 1 CLR 2.0 assemblies are fully compatible with CLR 3.5, there is no need to have a different build of the assemblies.
Now, ASP.NET 3.5 actually had new features in the platform for ASP.NET so there is a build of NetAdvantage for ASP.NET 2008 vol. 1 that takes advantage (ie, depends on) of the features like built-in MS ASP.NET AJAX Extensions (no need to have them as a separate install, anymore). But there was no benefit to do this for NetAdvantage for Windows Forms.
