I am a software consultant and I am helping my client migrate their old VB6 project that uses Protoview Data Explorer 8.0 from one PC to another and they do not have the serial number for the toolset so we cannot install it on the new PC.
Two questions:
Is there a way to find the serial number for the toolset on the existing PC? I have looked in the registry and file system and I cannot find any information about a serial number.
If not, is there a serial number that can be provided so we can install the software on the new PC?

I am not sure where the location that software put any registration information. Your client will have to check their accounts for a key for the product, which they can do here:www.infragistics.com/.../keys-and-downloads
If they are unable to find the key there you will have to contact our sales team about key recovery or acquiring a new key:www.infragistics.com/.../contact-us
