Is the AppMap prototyping interface only available when you create a new project? If not, how does one open the page flow again? I create a page template flow which has the login, mainpage, and a data page but I want to add another page in now.

I have been investigating into your requirement in this case, and at the moment, AppMap is a one-time one-way tool. That is, once you generate the AppMap, the rest of the project modifications will need to be done within Visual Studio.
Note, you can add additional pages by adding a new AppMapItem to the project, but this only adds new pages – it does not allow editing of the existing pages.
