Can you attach the project with the changes that you can run the sample and get the grid inside the panel. I followed your steps in the document but was unable to get the grid showing at all. I am not getting any errors.

Previously attached file already contains the code. The rar file contains a folder "PreInitHandler" which contains all the code. Open the folder as a WebSite in VS 2013 and just run it. Follow the document for the steps and you will be able to reproduce the issue.

This event seems to fail for the dynamically created controls. I tested your sample and what happens is exactly what Viktor, the developer who was working on these controls, explains here: http://www.infragistics.com/community/forums/t/83224.aspx.
This approach would not work. You should think of defining the grid and its providers in the mark up and try this way.
